What began as a passion over 30 years ago has evolved into something more.
We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.
Upcoming Advanced Training
London, UK - October 2026
My education does not stop with the techniques I already know.
In October 2026, I will return to London for additional advanced continuing education focused specifically on the needs of women recovering from cancer treatment, surgery and changes affecting the lymphatic and soft-tissue systems.
I am enrolled in two specialized advanced training programs.
Oncology Scar Specialist
Restore Scar Therapy - London, UK
October 2026
London School of Osteopathy
This advanced Oncology Scar Specialist training builds upon my previous Scar Therapy education, with additional focus on the complexities that can occur following cancer surgery and radiotherapy.
The advanced training includes:
Cording / Axillary Web Syndrome
Tissue changes following cancer surgery
Effects of radiotherapy on tissues
Diaphragm assessment and release
Gentle mobilization of the ribs and chest
Common complications following cancer treatment
Clinical reasoning and assessment
Individualized approaches to scar and surrounding tissue
Techniques designed to support comfort, mobility and recovery following cancer treatment
This next level of education is especially meaningful to the direction of Serenity Alignment as I continue developing highly individualized services for women whose bodies have experienced surgery, cancer treatment and significant physical change.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Method) / Post Op Care
Elemental Massage School - London, UK
October 2026
I am also enrolled in specialized hands-on training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) using the Vodder Method, with additional education in post-operative care and lymphatic taping.
This intensive training will expand my understanding of the lymphatic system and provide practical application of a full-body Vodder Method MLD sequence, along with specialized considerations for supporting appropriate post-operative clients throughout different stages of recovery.
Advanced training includes:
Manual Lymphatic Drainage using the Vodder Method
Full-body MLD techniques and sequencing
Lymphatic anatomy and physiology
Supporting healthy lymphatic flow
Understanding stages of post-operative healing
Post-operative treatment considerations and modifications
Surgery-specific techniques for common cosmetic procedures
Supporting post-surgical swelling and tissue recovery
Lymphatic taping using gentle kinesiology taping techniques
Techniques to support lymphatic drainage and address fibrosis
Contraindications, precautions and medical-clearance considerations
Adapting care according to the client’s procedure and stage of recovery
Client education, aftercare and self-care
This advanced education will complement my existing Oncology Massage and Scar Therapy training, further developing the thoughtful, integrated approach I bring to women whose bodies have experienced surgery, scar formation and changes affecting the lymphatic and soft-tissue systems.
My goal is not simply to add another technique, but to deepen my understanding of when lymphatic-focused care may be appreciate, how it should be adapted and when additional medical guidance is needed.
Oncology Massage & Cancer Care
Elemental Massage School - London, UK
October 2026
As a part of my continued advanced specialization in oncology-focused care, I am enrolled in additional hands-on Oncology Massage & Cancer Care trining at Elemental Massage School in London.
Building upon my previous Oncology Massage education and experience, this accredited practitioner course will further deepen my knowledge of providing safe, compassionate adapted massage for individuals undergoing cancer treatment and those in recovery.
Advanced training includes:
Physiological and emotional effects of cancer and cancer treatment
Oncology-specific contraindications and precautions
Appropriate modifications for pressure, positioning and session planning
Hands-on oncology massage techniques
Adapting massage to different stages of treatment and recovery
Safe and individualized treatment planning
Communication with clients navigating cancer
Trauma-informed and compassionate care
Professional boundaries and therapist self-care
Supporting comfort and quality of life throughout the cancer journey
This additional training is especially important to me because oncology massage is never a one-size-fits-all approach. A client’s diagnosis, treatment history, medications, surgeries, radiation, lymphatic considerations, energy level and current stage of recovery can all influence how a massage session should be approached and adapted.
Continuing to advance my oncology education allows me to bring an even greater level of knowledge, awareness and individualized consideration to the women who trust me with their care.
Professional Training & Continuing Education
What sets my work apart isn’t just the process - it’s the intention behind it.
I take time to understand each woman as an individual and approach every session with purpose, respect and thoughtful care.
With over 30 years of hands-on experience, my work is grounded in extensive massage therapy experience, continued professional education and an ongoing commitment to learning.
I believe excellence in massage therapy requires more than experience alone. It requires lifelong learning, advanced training and a deep respect for each women’s unique health and healing journey.
As Serenity Alignment continues to grow, I am intentionally expanding my education in Oncology Massage, Scar Therapy, Oncology Scar Therapy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) to provide increasingly specialized care for women navigating surgery, cancer treatment, recovery and long-term changes within the body.

Oncology Massage is not a single technique. It is an informed approach to massage that considers a client’s treatment history, current health, medications, surgical history, lymphatic consideration and individual needs when determining how massage should be safely adapted.
My goal is to create a space where women navigating complex medical journeys feel respected, comfortable and genuinely cared for.
Advanced Scar Therapy
Restore Scar Therapy - London, UK - May 2026
Private 1:1 Advanced Training with Founder Emma Holly
I completed specialized, private one-to-one Scar Therapy training in London directly with Emma Holy, founder of Restore Scar Therapy.
This individualized advanced education focused on gentle, precise, skin-level techniques and thoughtful assessment of scar tissue and the surrounding structures.
The training expanded my understanding of how scars can influence more than their visible appearance. Changes within scarred tissue may affect comfort, sensation, mobility and the way surrounding tissues move.
My approach to Scar Therapy is intentionally gentle and individualized. The goal is never to aggressively manipulate a scar, but to work respectfully with healed tissue according to each client’s surgical history, healing stage, symptoms and individual needs.
A Note on Personal Oncology & Scar Therapy Understanding
Over the years, I have developed a thorough understanding of breast surgery, implant reconstruction, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy and recovery, not only through professional education, but also through lived insight.
That experience has given me a deeply personal appreciation for how much the body can change through surgery and treatment, and how individual the recovery process can be.
Professional training guides the care I provide. Lived understanding adds another layer of awareness, empathy and respect for the woman receiving that care.
For clients who desire a therapist who understands some of the physical and emotional layers of healing, that awareness is part of the care I quietly bring into the room.
Privacy, dignity and personal boundaries are always honored.
What This Means for My Clients
Continuing education is not about collecting credentials.
For me, it is about becoming a more knowledgeable therapist for the women who trust me with their care.
Every advanced course adds another layer of understanding, helping me recognize when traditional therapeutic massage may be appropriate, when an adapted approach is needed, when gentle scar or lymphatic-focused work may be beneficial, and when massage should be postponed or additional medical guidance should be sought.
My goal is to bring together experience advanced education, thoughtful assessment and individualized care rather than applying the same technique to every client.
Whether you are seeking therapeutic massage, living with changes following surgery or cancer treatment, addressing healed scar tissue, or simply looking for a more individualized approach to your care, your session begins with understanding you.
My Philosophy
Massage is not a luxury!
It is a therapeutic partnership!
My approach blends therapeutic skill with calm presence, ensuring that each woman feels supported, heard and respected, whether she is training for athletic performance, navigating life changes, recovering from surgery or seeking greater comfort and alignment in her body.
